Concept 2 - Teamwork

"Sharing the Workload in Marriage"

c2-teamwork.jpg

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.”

- Ecclesiastes 4:9

Not many things in life portray the need for teamwork as clearly as a tandem bicycle. There are two seats, two sets of pedals, and one bicycle frame. It needs two people to make it go.

Your marriage is a representation of the tandem bicycle; it’s made up of two people, but united together by God to create one. As a result of this union, you are no longer individuals; you are now a couple…a team.

You are still responsible for yourself individually to be the best partner in your team, but you are also are responsible to help carry the day to day workload in your marriage in an equitable way.

When you share the load equally with your spouse you won’t feel like you are being cheated and you won’t feel that you are doing more than your fair share.

Wouldn’t you find tremendous comfort knowing that the entire burden of your life and family doesn’t rest on you?

This is a great place to be!
